Project management activities:

Currently I am working on a project to study the effect botulinum toxin on Motor Unit function in human.

During my doctoral research, I was a part of a robot developmental project titled “Designed and development of a robot-assisted laparoscopic surgical trainer”. Being a supervisor f the team, my contribution was to discuss with several doctors and identify the design need of the surgical master manipulator. In the initial phase, I have also coordinating among the electrical, mechanical and the virtual environment design team under the overall supervision of my advisor.

Teaching assistance activities:

As a teaching assistant my primary duty was to take special classes, frame question, help and evaluate projects and clear doubts of the student. Working as a scholar at IIT Madras I have enjoyed doing teaching assistantship for the following graduate level courses.

  •       Design of Surgical Devices

  •       Medical Device Innovation

  •       Field and Service Robotics

Activities as article reviewer:
  •      ASME- Journal of Medical Devices. ASME.

  •      International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery. Wiley.

  •      Biomedical Signal Processing and Control. Elsevier.

  •       Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine. Elsevier.

Conducting conference and workshop:

International Training Program on Unmanned Ground Vehicles December 2011

Laboratory activities:

As a senior research scholar in the Robotics Laboratory, I have served as a coordinator and student mentor for the weekly lab meeting for the graduate students. The key idea behind this initiative was to encourage people to readily get feedback for their work from the other researcher.

Collaborating research as a graduate student:

The Ph.D. work collaborated with DEMAR Team INRIA Sophia Antipolis, Montpellier with Dr. Mitsuhiro Hayashibe.
